Not Your Mother’s Coffee Table

The days of the two-tiered coffee table are over. Sometimes having no coffee table at all really opens up a living room. And sometimes a big, funky ottoman is the perfect piece to pull a room together.

The star ottoman featured above is just such an ottoman. We created this one-of-a-kind piece with textile artist Mariadela Araujo. You can use it to kick your feet up, hold drinks or snacks, or as extra seating. It’s a bold, fun, and uniquely functional piece.

The ottoman above also plays with shape and color. The turquoise and the oversized scale help ground the acid green fireplace and anchor the space. This bright and beautiful ottoman is the coffee table of today.
