Last week I shared some of my favorite spots for sourcing vintage furniture. But I didn’t mention one of my biggest sources: live-streamed auctions. You can find incredible stuff at sites like LiveAuctioneers.com which, expecially since the pandemic, have made finding awesome pieces a lot easier. Log on, pre-bid, and cross your fingers. Or you can bid in real time. It’s quite fun!

Recently I won the auction for this beautiful pair of Adrian Pearsall lounge chairs. Finds like these are hard to come by as bidding gets competitive. Adrian Pearsall was an American architect and furniture designer who helped define MidCentury Modern Furniture. He used a lot of clean lines, organic shapes, soft curves, and walnut wood. He also believed in the idea that function doesn’t have to be sacrificed for beauty.
